Download Your 1099-R Statement in Your Online Account

Every January, KPERS mails 1099-Rs to retirees and benefit recipients. If you’re a new retiree and took a partial lump sum, you'll get two. One for your lump sum and one for your regular monthly benefits. Our goal is always to have 1099-Rs in your mailbox well before the January 31 federal deadline. Electronic copies were posted in your online account on January 8, and KPERS mailed 1099-R statements on January 23. It typically takes 4-5 business days for mail processing/delivery. In the meantime, we encourage you to log in to your account or set one up if you don’t already have an account.

How to Download Your 1099-R

  • Click the green Member Login button in the upper right of any kspers.gov webpage.
  • Type your email address for your username, then your password on the next screen.
  • Once logged in, click on your plan. Depending on your member type, you'll see KPERS, KP&F and/or Judges.
  • In your Account Summary, click 1099-R in the left hand menu. From there, you'll see your last three 1099-R statements.
  • Click the link for your 2025 form. You can download a copy and save it to your device or print a copy for use with your taxes. It's that easy!
